Curtis is an instrumental electric / acoustic guitarist, gifted with a vast musical aptitude, extensive range of songwriting, and high-spirited rock and jazz roots. His 1999 debut CD 'Curtis Reid' captured these qualities with an eclectic mix of music, compositions and musicians.

'Omniumgatherum', the second release two years later, showcases seven brilliantly crafted works and heard the artist's soulful bluesy voice for the first time on one of his CDs.

Upcoming in 2008 is '711510'. With this release Curtis is joined by bassist Ray Riendeau and drummer Dan Tomlinson along with some other friends.  It will, no doubt, capture the diversity and creativity (as well as add some new ingredients to the recipe) that fans have come to expect from Curtis and company over the years.

Again and forever... the sonic atmosphere that's created is driven by Curtis' vintage yet modern sounds.

Brief Bio...

Born in Syracuse, N.Y. on 2/21/63, Curtis' parents led a traditional military life. His father was an officer in the army so Curtis would move every two to three years. When Curtis was eight, his brother Fred brought a Deep Purple record home and, as they always say... the rest is history!

After sampling more of this new music, Curtis decided to learn how to play the guitar. His grandmother saw his interest in the instrument and quickly sought private lessons for her grandson. Curtis would practice day in - day out , reading and very soon started "picking" riffs off the recordings he loved to listen to!

After 4 years of high school jazz performance classes, Curtis studied music at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. He played in several bands for fun and to make some sort of living while attending school but kept pursuing his love for music by studying composition and theory, learning styles new to him, at that time, like jazz and classical. All this training and his rock and roll background give us the sound he is shaping today!

Curtis has been a professional musician and music teacher all his adult life. "I had a real job once!" Curtis laughs! He has played with many well known artists (BRYAN WHITE, TOBY KEITH, LARI WHITE, KIM RICHEY and more) but for the last 8 years has focused on his own musical career.
